Water Damage – Manayunk Home
Water damage occurred at this Manayunk house due to a leak in a second floor HVAC system air handler. The residents had been away for an extended weekend and discovered the water problem when they returned. SERVPRO of Manayunk was called when the damage was discovered. Upon arrival, our technicians would determine first if the subflooring had been saturated with moisture. They employ sophisticated water detection devices to measure the moisture content of various building materials. With this information, they would be able to determine if the carpeting needed to be torn up in order to sufficiently dry the subfloor. The next step would be to extract the water damage from the flooring. When the water had been cleaned up the staff would use commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to help dry the area.
